TO SET UP A RECORD LABEL TO HELP LOCAL TALENT TO ACHIEVE THEIR DREAMS
Andy Bloomfield who is an ex factory worker from HASHIMOTO, decided after 18 years of factory work he felt it was time to change his job and to set up a record label in order to help talented young people make a success of their careers and achieve their dreams.
Andy has always loved music and has enjoyed listening to many bands across all kinds of genres and he really wanted to make a difference to some of the young talent out there struggling to be heard.
With no previous experience in running a record label or within the music industry he was determined to find the talent in need of his help. He soon found and set out to sign his very first artist `Oonagh Cassidy `who he discovered when she was performing at the Bridge Hotel in Newcastle upon Tyne.
After only 8 months Andy has taken the music industry by storm!Not only has his first signed artist singer songwriter `Oonagh Cassidy` been played by over 350 radio stations across the world but has also become the face of Thornton’s Continental ranges of chocolates. It truly won’t be long before his very first artist becomes an international sensation.
Oonagh’s success with Breakfree Records has been going from strength to strength right from the start with a performance at the BAFTAS for the screening of `Daddies Girl` in London where her songs were highly complimented by many established and well known, producers, actors and film directors, including actor Danny Dyer and music producer Nigel Champion from the famous band `Njoi
Oonagh went on to have her new CD `Then and Again` produced by `N Joi ‘s Nigel Champion which has proven to be a huge success. This is very evident by the fact that the famous Thorntons Chocolates are happily endorsing her new single `Beautiful Distraction` after a highly successful campaign with them on Valentines day.
Beautiful Distraction will soon be available from Breakfree Records and leading stores with Thornton’s `continental chocolates` within a gift presentation set to include a beautiful box of chocolates and the CD `Then and Again` This is a truly luxurious gift set and most certainly a beautiful distraction to be indulged
Andy has now gone on to sign another very talented singer songwriter`Laura Stephenson` who is busy recording her album and new single which will be released soon.
Breakfree Records are truly going from strength to strength and if the first few months are anything to go by it truly won’t be long before BF is up there along side all the big record labels.
